Thank you for visiting my Website and hope you enjoy looking at my paintings. I have always painted but have not had any formal training, and up to recently I have fitted in painting around my work as a NHS physiotherapist. Due to illness I had to stop working as a physiotherapist but I was then fortunate enough to attend a year long diploma art course with Martin Kinear at the Norfolk school of painting. It was here that I developed a passion for abstracted images and I am fascinated by wild skies, the interaction of light on water; Scottish and Cumbrian mountains, Pembrokeshire seas, Morecambe bay and Saddleworth moors.
I live in Saddleworth with my husband, my two boys James and Mathew and dog Ruby, and am lucky to have the Saddleworth moors on my doorstep. The landscape can be bleak in rough weather but it is exhilarating when you climb up to the edge and look back down towards Manchester. The light changes constantly which causes the moorland colours to change rapidly, it is the need to capture this light that moves me to paint. Always trying to capture that "moment in time".
We are lucky to have a small caravan on the outskirts of Morecambe, this allows me to paint in the lake district and around Morecambe bay. The light and weather coming off the Irish sea is spectacular, the view from Morecambe towards the mountains of Cumbria never fails to inspire me. I am constantly trying to get that feeling of excitement into my paintings, including the grey and moody days.

I am really looking forward to sharing my 2025 collection with you at the Saddleworth Art Trail in May at Limekiln Cafe in Uppermill and my solo exhibition in September at Reclamation Room, Uppermill.
